FALL LAB NOW ENROLLING

The Child Development Lab is enrolling now for the fall for children ages two to six.
Students majoring in early childhood development, child and family development, FACS and other majors can work at the lab, based on theory and practice.
The before-school care program begins at 8 a.m. The preschool program will run 8:30 a.m-1:30 p.m. There will also be an extended day program from 1:30-5 p.m.

VOTER REGISTRATION

UCM is having a voter registration booth Wednesday in front of the Union.
It will be open from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

NEW SCHOLARSHIP

A new scholarship is offered for students pursuing a degree in special education or related service areas, such as speech pathology and occupational and physical therapy.
Due to a shortage of teachers in special education classrooms, the Aspiring Educator Scholarship was established and will award five $1,000 scholarships to seniors or second semester juniors.
Application packets and instructions may be downloaded at http://www.teachers-teachers.com/scholarship. The deadline for applications is June 30, 2008 and winners will be announced in August.

MULE HAUL VOLUNTEERS

The Office of Campus Activities is looking for volunteers to help with Mule Haul Sunday Aug. 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Students will assist students and families unload their vehicles and will receive a free T-shirt.

TALKING MULES PLACE

The UCM Talking Mules speech and debate team competed in a national competition April 5-7 in Topeka, Kan. Andrew Goring finished third overall, Tomei Peppard finished second overall and Zack Dobson ranked ninth as a novice.
