HUMAN EVOLUTION SEMINAR
There will be a Human Evolution Seminar Friday from 4 to 5 p.m. in Nahm Auditorium.
The seminar, presented by Dr. Arthur Bettis from the Geoscience Department at the University of Iowa, is titled "Way Out of Africa: Environments and Adaptations of the Earliest Humans in Southeast Asia. "
The seminar is open to the public.

AFRICANA SYMPOSIUM
The 4th Biennial Africana Studies Symposium, the African American Family, is taking place today and Friday.
Dr. Freeman Hrabowski, President of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, will give the keynote address, and professionals from the Kansas City area and UCM faculty will present a variety of workshops on wellness, mental health, parenting, financial planning, the criminal justice system and grief and dying.
All events are free and open to the public. Anyone interested can RSVP to jlb09290@ucmo.edu.

MCLAUGHLIN TO RETIRE
The College of Science and Technology and the Department of Aviation will celebrate the retirement of Rod McLaughlin after more than 28 years of service to the University.
The reception is Apr. 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. in Union 237B. The ceremony will begin at 3 p.m.

SYMPOSIUM APR. 7-8
More than 160 students will participate in the 7th Annual Central Scholars Symposium Apr. 7 and 8 in the Elliot Student Union.
Posters, artwork and photography will be on display in the Union Monday from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Oral presentations will be in Union Rooms 231, 233 and 235 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Original one-act plays are scheduled from 3:15 to 6 p.m. Tuesday in Union 234.
