This is a truly historical race, no one can deny that. Despite race results, the United States still has eight months to decide who will be our next president. Voting is very important, and we are not demeaning that fact.

But polls are often misleading, and the mainstream media often try to figure out winners prematurely.

We just want to remind everyone how historic this event has become. Not only are we lucky to finally, after more than 200 years, have a woman and an African-American man running for leader of the free world, they have been running together for months now. Obviously, many Americans accept, appreciate and approve of both of them in some way or another.

We recognize that by not mentioning the white men in this campaign, it may seem to some like we are being biased, but we are not. We are merely pointing out how proud we are of the fact that our fellow Americans seem to care about this race.

Whether the record poll numbers reflect the historical aspect of the possible outcome or the nations feelings about the present state of the union, we would just like to acknowledge our active voters and thank them for participating in our Democracy.
