In a statement sent out by the Department of Public Safety Friday, Chief Bob Ahring encouraged faculty, staff and students who have been involved in campus parking lot vehicle-related accidents to report the incidents as soon as possible to Public Safety.
With hit-and-run-type accidents involving parked vehicles, reporting is particularly beneficial. It is extremely important that reports are timely, so as to aid in providing useful information to the car owners' insurance companies. In addition, timely information can aid officers in finding the driver responsible for any damage.
To report any such related accidents, you may reach Public Safety at 543-4123.
