Who knew dating could be so hard? It seems dating has become a fine art that should be taught in school. Dating 101 could be what people need not to embarrass themselves.

However, some of the horrible moments occur before the date even happens. Simeon Taylor, senior, elementary education major, had one of those horrible moments.

He was in church and recognized a girl that he used to converse with. He thought she was attractive, so he sat down next to her and began talking and flirting with her.

"The whole while I'm talking to her, there is this guy up at the front of the church giving a testimony about his life and how everything has changed for the better. The man is crying and everything, but I'm still flirting with this girl," Taylor said.

"Well, the more we talk, the more the man talks, then all of a sudden I hear 'And I couldn't do any of this without my wife. Come on up here, Keisha.' Next thing I know, the girl is like 'Excuse me for a minute.' I was so shocked and embarrassed that I ran out of church," Taylor said.

Sometimes bad dates are a case of bad luck. DaRonn Collins, a fourth-year marketing major, is a prime example of how true that statement really is.

"I was about 16-years-old when I had this date," Collins said. "I had decided to take the girl miniature golfing at Cool Crest. When we got there, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet at home." This little problem was just a glimpse of things to come.

"I had to improvise, so basically she paid for us at Cool Crest. Everything was going okay until we came to the holes with windmills," Collins said. "I got ready to swing, and the next thing I know, I had hit my date in the chin with my golf club. I was trying so hard not laugh because clearly, it wasn't funny."
Latrice Kyles, senior, history major recalled her worst date- her first.

"Before we even went out, he asked me what I liked to do on my date. So why we did the exact opposite, I don't know," Kyles said. "We went to some fair before dinner and my date had received a magazine. He commenced to read the entire magazine at dinner, so there was no conversation."
