Football schedule released
The 2007 Mules' football schedule has been released and includes an away game at national champion runner-up Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo. The Mules will play five home games and six away games in 2007.
UCM Hall of Fame
The 2006-07 UCM Athletic Hall of Fame inductees were announced this week and include the 2001 Mules' football team, the 2001 Mules' baseball team and 10 individuals. The induction ceremony is set for Feb. 10 at 9:30 a.m. in the Union Ballroom. Tickets to the event are $12 and may be purchased by calling the UCM Athletic Office at 543-4250.

Not settling for "F"
Kyle Dowd, a former Duke University lacrosse player is suing the university and one of his professors.
Dowd, who claims the professor gave him an "F" because he was a part of the highly scrutinized lacrosse team, said he is owed a total of $60,000 for the "F" that nearly kept him from graduating.
Not a bad idea
The Boise State Broncos, who won one of the most thrilling games in recent college football history in the Fiesta Bowl, aren't wasting any time capitalizing on victory.
The Idaho State Board of Education gave a thumbs-up to the university's long-awaited Bronco Stadium addition that will cost $35.9 million.
K.C. pulling for Marty
A number of talk-show hosts and media outlets in K.C. have conveyed their hopes that San Diego Chargers coach Marty Shottenheimer finally gets a Super Bowl win.
He will continue the road to the Lombardi Trophy when his Chargers take on the New England Patriots Sunday.
Also playing in the divisional round of the playoffs are the Seattle Seahawks at the Chicago Bears, the Indianapolis Colts at the Baltimore Ravens, and the Philadephia Eagles playing at the New Orleans Saints.
