Snow plows and salt trucks rushed the streets of rural areas to make travel less hazardous for those commuting.
Unfortunately, our campus grounds crew were the last to get involved in the clean-up.
It is important for the conditions of campus streets and walkways to be safe and clear of any potential hazards, especially during inclement weather.
Although efforts have recently been made, days following the initial snowfall passed with classes in session when the traveling conditions were less than par.
In the future, we ask that the safety of students be taken into consideration.
Salting and shoveling the walkways and parking lots should be done not only to insure the safety of the student body, but also the University faculty and staff.
