The No. 11 Jennies volleyball team will travel to Quincy, Ill. Wednesday hoping to maintain the high level of play that has led to seven consecutive wins.

The Jennies are coming off a week that included four wins, two over ranked opponents. Assistant coach Flip Piontek said such wins can breed confidence over time.

"Confidence definitely snowballs after winning a lot of games in a row," Piontek said. "The confidence that we're getting now is going to help us win throughout the rest of the season."

If winning gives confidence then the girls from Central should be very- confident, they have defeated three ranked teams on their winning streak, and hope to continue the streak for the rest of the season.

The Jennies will have thiei sights set on avengine the last loss of the season against Truman State, and will have an opportunity to do so when the Bulldogs visit Oct. 25.

In the past week they have picked up wins over Washburn, Emporia State, Southwest Baptist and Rockhurst University.
The girls played Washburn at home Oct. 4 and got revenge from the family weekend football game when the Mules lost to Washburn.

The girls picked up the win, 3-1. This was the first home game of the winning streak, but definitely not the last.

Two days later Emporia rolled into town, ready for a battle. But the Jennies controlled the match from the outset, beating Emporia, 3-1. The Jennies have not lost to ESU since 2003.
The only away game of the week was in Bolivar, Monday night.
The Jennies rolled over Southwest Baptist University. The Jennies showed their ability to control the match from the outset eventually putting away SBU 3-1.
