Three Mules make cut
Three former Mules will be playing in the NFl this season, after making the final cut over the weekend. Todd Devoe made the 53-man roster for the Denver Broncos, this will be Devoe's second season with the club.
Delanie Walker, selected in the sixth round by the San Fransisco 49ers, will be joined by Roderick Green in the Bay Area this season. Green,a fifth-round pick in 2004 by the Baltimore Ravens, signed with the 49ers over the weekend after being cut by Baltimore.
Walker is not expected to play in the season opener against Arizona, he is still nursing an injured shoulder.
Ohrman picks up honor
Middle hitter Jillian Ohrman has been selected as the Wilson/MIAA Hitter of the week. Ohrman, a transfer from the University of MIssissippi, hit .344, with 82 kills, 17 errors and averaged 4.79 points per game last week.
Ohrman,a graduate of William Chrisman High School in Independence, Mo. hit .522 and scored 31 points in a 3-2 win over Regis University Friday.
Two new coaches, trainer hired
CMSU has announced the hiring of three new members to the athletic department. Jarrod Gable, from Ohio Wesleyan University has accepted the position of assistant athletic trainer.
Nicole Lindsey will take over as the assistant women's basketball coach after two seasons as the graduate assistant for the Jennies. Lindsey will be in charge of recruiting for the Jennies after earning her masrer's in sports administration from CMSU this past summer.
Kevin Cullen will serve as the new part-time assistant baseball coach, after spending three years as a volunteer assistant at Missouri. During his time at Mizzou, 10 pitchers were drafted in the top 25 rounds, with five being taken in the first five rounds.

Daniel wins award
Missouri quaterback Chase Daniel was named the Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week after Missouri 47-7 drubbing of Murray State Saturday night. Daniel went 23-32 for 320 yards and five touchdowns in first start for the Tigers.
