•Mules' guard Michael Hicks has been chosen to take part in the NCAA Division-II men's basketball All-Star game Friday at 6 p.m. as part of the Elite Eight in Springfield, Mass.
Hicks and Tarleton State's John Davis lead the South Central Region team. Hicks and Davis were named co-MVPs of the region for 2005-2006.
After averaging more than 21 points a game, shooting nearly 39 percent from three-point range and 87 percent from the free throw line, Hicks was named a first-team All-MIAA player for the second year in a row.
•The Nebraska-Omaha Tournament has been cancelled, so the Mules' baseball team will host Minnesota State-Mankato Sunday at 1 p.m.
