Financial Aid
February and March are considered the best months for new and continuing undergraduate and graduate students to apply for federal financial aid for the upcoming 2006-2007 school year.
A student will be considered an 'on-time' applicant if the 2006-2007 FAFSA is submitted prior to April 1. For more information, contact the Office of Student Financial Assistance.
Psychology Research Talks
The Psychology Department's Friday research series continues 3 p.m. Feb. 10 in Lovinger 1270. Arthur Kemp will give a presentation on "Reasons for Studying and Conducting Research in Multicultural Psychology."
"Vagina Monologues" Tickets
Tickets are on sale for "The Vagina Monologues." The show will take place 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in Hendricks Hall. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 for adults. To purchase tickets, call 543-8121, or stop by Union 307.
V-Day is a non-profit corporation seeking to end violence against women and girls through education and awareness.
Honor Society Scholarship
The Mortar Board Honor Society is accepting applications through Feb. 28. Founded in 1918, Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for distinguished ability and achievement in scholarship, leadership and service. Applications are available in the office of History and Anthropology, Wood 136.
"Claim the Dream"
The Spotlight will sponsor "Claim the Dream" at 8 p.m. Feb. 28 in the Union Ballroom.
"Claim the Dream" is a one-woman black history speaker that dramtically shares the struggle for freedom, justice, and equality through various dramatic monologues. The 50-minute presentation is open to the public and all students are invited to attend.
Fitness Center Hours
The Central Fitness Center has extended its hours of operation. The fitness center extended hours Monday through Thursday, now open until 9 p.m. as well as 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sundays.
