Spring Career Expo

The Office of Career Services is hosting the 2006 Spring Career Expo, from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 in the Multipurpose Building Arena. More than 100 employers are expected to represent a variety of career fields. To view a list of the employers scheduled to attend, go to the Office of Career Services Web page at www.cmsu.edu.



Summit Center Expansion

Central's Summit Center, located in Lee's Summit, Mo., is hosting a celebration of the Center's expansion, from 3 to 5 p.m. March 18. Those interested in attending may R.S.V.P. by phone at 543-4672 or (816) 347-1612.



Charno Awards

The Office of Student Affairs is accepting nominations for the Charno Awards and Who's Who at Central. To receive the Charno Award, individuals must have qualified for a baccalaureate degree at the end of summer session 2005, fall semester 2005 or spring semester 2005. Nominations should be submitted to the Student Affairs Office, Administration 214, by Feb. 6.

Creative Projects Program

Applications for the Summer Undergraduate and Creative Projects Program are due Feb. 10. The program provides opportunities for undergraduate students to work on art, research or other types of projects over a ten-week period during summer 2006. The five students selected to participate will receive a $2,500 stipend. Eligibility and application procedures are available at www.cmsu.edu/x82883.xml, or call 543-4696.



2006-2007 Scholarship Info

2006-2007 scholarships are available to Central students pursuing any major. A description of these are detailed online: www.cmsu.edu/x7786.xml. Scholarship application deadline is March 1.



Alumnae Panhellenic Grants

The Alumnae Panhellenic Association of Greater Kansas City is offering educational grants and interest-free loans to female seniors or graduate students who are residents of the greater Kansas City area. Applications are available at www.kcpanel.com. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 10.
