A new semester is just beginning here at Central and the lines in the book store continue to grow as the required reading list of each student is made official.

For some newcomers to the campus, the size as well as the experience may be somewhat overwhelming.

Those of you returning for another semester, you may be anxious to get back into your daily routine.

An advantage to both types of students, a new semester is a great opportunity to work on improvements.

If last semester you felt like you did not manage your time wisely and procrastination was your only study method, time management should be your focus.

Starting your semester on the right foot really does affect the overall outcome of success. If you stay on top of your required reading and projects from the beginning, you are sure to continue throughout the course of the semester.

If time management and procrastination was not your problem, perhaps you felt like you were just not understanding a lot of the material discussed in class.

Central offers many services located on campus that assist students with academic problems.

If your experiencing trouble in any area such as math, there is a math lab located in W.C. Morris. If your problem area is writing, you can find assistance at the Mule Pen located on the west end of the campus or the Draft Mule, located on the east end of campus.

The key to a successful semester is a successful beginning. If you work hard from the start, you will receive the reward of feeling a little less stressed and a lot more prepared.

Do not be afraid to ask questions. The only stupid question is one you did not ask. If you do not want others to know you have difficulties with the subject, make an appointment with the professor.

We hope everyone has a wonderful and successful beginning that will lead to an overall enjoyable semester.
