Homecoming Theme Search

The Homecoming Planning Committee is currently accepting theme ideas for the 2006 homecoming. Theme ideas can be submitted to the Office of Alumni Relations & Development via e-mail at alumni@cmsu.edu. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday. For more information, e-mail Michelle Schubert at schubert@cmsu1.cmsu.edu.



Beyond Words Workshop

The Beyond Words Tour will be held in the University Conference Center Feb. 6 to 10. The annual workshop examines social injustices including discrimination and stereotypes held by institutions and groups against those who are perceived as "different" through an interactive experience.



Presidential Quiz Bowl

The Progressive Women of Warrensburg will be sponsoring a Presidential Quiz Bowl, 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 18 at the ABC Building in Grover Park. The teams should consist of two to four people with a $20 fee per team to enter.

Powell Gardens Winter Break

Powell Gardens is running a Spring Garden Conservatory Show. The show, which will run until March 5, features many of the colors and scents of spring in a glass-topped conservatory. For more information, call 816-697-2600.

Battle Test Anxiety

Counseling and Psychological Services is offering a spring workshop for students with test anxiety. The workshop will consist of six meetings with the times and dates based on student availability. Interested students should call 543-4060 by Jan. 20.



Self-Esteem Meetings

Counseling and Psychological Services will offer a group for full-time students looking to improve self-esteem, explore relationships, relate better with others or increase self-understanding. The group will meet Monday from 3 to 4:20 p.m. in Humphreys 131. For more information, call 543-4060.



Mental Health Screening

Counseling and Psychological Services now offers free, anonymous online screening for mood and anxiety disorders for students through the Screening for Mental Health Online Screening Program.

Students can access the screening through the CPS webpage at www.cmsu.edu/cps in the right hand column under other resources: College Response Screening. The online screening is confidential, and no unique identification information is collected.



TRIO Spring Services

TRIO-SSS will begin tutoring services Tuesday for the spring 2006 semester. Tutoring is free to eligible students in Humphreys 115. For more information, contact Shanna Goodman in Humphreys 119E or call 543-8830.
