Residents of Denver, Colo., voted 54 percent to 46 percent last Tuesday in favor of legalizing marijuana.
The restrictions set are similar to those set for cigarettes.
In order to legally possess the drug, you must be 18 or older. But you may not obtain more than an ounce at a time.
Members of the Marijuana Policy Project of Denver, hope their vote will launch a national trend towards legalizing the drug.
