Sexual assault

The Warrensburg Police Department is investigating the sexual assault of a female student in the downtown area. The incident took place at approximately 1:45 a.m. Friday.
The victim reported she was grabbed by an unidentified male while in the 100 block of West Pine Street and pulled into a nearby alley where she struggled with the assailant and escaped.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, medium build with blond hair. The victim believes she scratched the suspect on the left side of his face during the struggle. Anyone who may have information about this assault or a possible suspect can call the Warrensburg Detective Division at 747-9133 or the Tips Hotline at 747-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
