Lighten up on Palin, criticisms unfair
Would it make any sense if you walked into your first day of college algebra and your instructor expected you to know the basics of calculus? What if you were an aviation major and on your first day of class the teacher expected you to fly a Boeing 737? That would be ludicrous, right?

Only 26 days left to make excuses for not voting
There are a lot of reasons people won't vote this year. But it's perhaps my skepticism in American patriotism that makes me think they will chose not to vote, whether you suggest it or not.

Having respect for freight trains could help save your life
